The Township of Howick is currently seeking dedicated community members to serve on two important local boards. This is a great opportunity to get involved, share your skills, and help support valued community spaces.
Fordwich Cemetery Board – 2 Positions Available
The Fordwich Cemetery Board is responsible for the oversight and administration of the Fordwich Cemetery on behalf of the Township of Howick.
Board responsibilities include:
- Scheduling regular maintenance
- Sales of plots and niches
- Arranging interments
- Ensuring the cemetery remains a peaceful and serene place for past and present community members and visitors
Wroxeter Hall Board – Board Members Needed
The Wroxeter Hall Board oversees the operation and use of the hall on behalf of the municipality and acts in an advisory role to Council and municipal staff.
Responsibilities typically include:
- Providing input on rentals, usage policies, and fees
- Identifying maintenance or capital improvement needs
- Supporting community events and programming
- Helping promote the hall as a welcoming and sustainable community gathering space
