Cemeteries

Updated: Sep 1, 2023

Currently, Howick Township has 4 active cemeteries operated by Township boards.

The Bereavement Authority of Ontario administers provisions of the Funeral, Burial and Cremation Services Act, 2002, and regulates funerals, burials, cremations and related services in Ontario. This act ensures that consumers are dealing with qualified and licensed professionals who provide a variety of affordable options.

The Consumer Information Guide to Funerals, Burials and Cremation Services is designed to support informed choices related to pre-arranging and arranging a funeral, burial or cremation service.
