Township of Howick Community Centre Open as a Cooling Centre & Free Public Swimming

GORRIE, ON (June 23, 2025) - The Township of Howick has opened the Howick Community Centre for residents during the current heat wave.

The Howick Community Centre upstairs auditorium is available Monday, June 23, 2025 and Tuesday, June 24, 2025  for those who need a place to cool off with water and popsicles provided as supplies last.

There is an elevator available for those who need it.

Free Public Swimming 
Monday, June 23, 2025 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Howick Optimist Pool - 2046 James Street, Gorrie, ON

The Gorrie Splash Pad located at the Gorrie Park next to the Howick Optimist Pool is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Regular Public Swim is held Monday - Friday 7:00 p.m. to 8:10 p.m.
Regular Admission Prices will apply.
