Notice of Public Meeting Concerning a Proposed Zoning By-law Amendment

Take Notice a statutory public meeting is scheduled for November 7, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. This meeting will be held in person at 44816 Harriston Road, Gorrie and via teleconference to discuss a proposed Amendment to the Township of Howick Zoning By-law affecting property known as Plan 276, Lot 198, Part Lot 234 2048 Albert Street South, Gorrie. (Application #Z11-22)

The owner has submitted all information and fees required to consider the application, and the municipality has deemed the application to be complete. This by-law shall come into force pursuant to Section 34(21) of the Planning Act, RSO 1990, as amended.

Purpose and Effect:
The effect of the application is to rezone the subject property from CF-Community Facility Zone to VR1 (Village Residential Low Density Zone). The zoning amendment will permit residential use on the subject property and in the existing structure, the former Gorrie United Church. The subject property is designated Settlement Area in the Howick Official Plan.
